Happy independence everyone!!! Let me start by wishing this great country of ours a happy birthday, and I sincerely pray that as Nigeria adds one more year, this country will improve and the music industry will keep growing to a level where new artistes will be given the opportunities and the chances they deserve, better structures will be put in place to accommodate and develop young talent, and good music will gain ground and be better appreciated.

This edition of the #DearArtiste Monthly digest has been specially packaged as usual to address all the basic issues an emerging artiste will have to deal with, ranging from Vocal Techniques, to packaging, promotion and even legal issues. We also took time to beam our spotlight on an emerging gospel artiste whose genre is called “Afro-Fusion” (a term he coined himself). There’s a line in this song that says “I no know who send me” and that’s fits perfectly with my impression of this song. All I want to ask Slim T is “who told you to do this?”  In actual fact, this is a good song for what it is. It has a good vibe; it’s a feel good, happy song with a nice dance theme.
